Maleny Retreat allow you to provide your own choice of alcoholic beverages for your reception. However all bookings must have a minimum of 2 x RSA qualified bar staff* to serve all alcoholic beverages at all times. Strictly NO SELF SERVE at any point.

HowmanycanstayintheGuesthouse?
The guesthouse accommodates 12-14 people for 2 nights (Fri and Sat night) There are 20 permanent tents in our onsite Tent Village.
All tents sleep 2 people max per tent which gives you 40 extra guests to stay the one night. That is a total of 14 on Friday night and up to 54 guests on Saturday Night, the night of the Wedding and Reception.

There are 5 toilets and 5 showers located in the Guest House which is approximately 150m from the marquee site for over night guests to use.
Included in the DELUXE DIY and all marquee package Luxury Trailer Mounted Port-a-loos are provided, with a male and female toilet for the comfort of your guestsat the Marquee Site.
Your Way - DIY package - Port-a-loos are not included. All DIY bookings over 60 must provide port-a-loos for guests to use.
WhatdowedowithourRubbish?
Maleny Retreat is considered a rural property and does not get weekly council rubbish collection.
Party Bins provide both general rubbish and recycling bins.
WhatistheCarParkingCapacityatMalenyRetreat?
Maleny Retreat provides car parking for up to 75 cars in the main visitor car park.
If you are expecting a large number of guests that will exceed the car park capacity, a bus service is required.
Up to 8 cars are permitted in the Supplier Car Park.
In order to keep our beautiful grassy open spaces safe and green for your wedding and the photos, there is a strict NO DRIVING ON ANY GRASSED AREAS - NO EXCEPTIONS policy.
Can we have a Friday or a Sunday wedding day?
Fridays, Sundays weddings are only available during off peak season (Dec-Feb and June-July) and are subject to availability. Weddings that fall on a public holiday are subject to availability and can incur a surcharge or extra days venue hire cost in some cases if an extra day is needed for set up or pack down.
Weekend bookings are for 4 days Maximum - per booking.
Does Maleny Retreat provide a catering service? NO ... but we can highly recommend the CATERERS in our "DIRECTORY"
You will need to choose and book your own choice of mobile caterer.
To avoid having to hire a generator in most cases it is highly recommended that you hire a caterer use only gas equipment so that it frees up the power sockets at the marquee site for all your other suppliers like lights, music, cold room, Lux loo etc.
Your caterer will need to have a pop-up marquee kitchen close to your reception site.
They/You will need to provide all potable water required for cooking and drinking up at the marquee site.
The Guest house kitchen is strictly for over night guests only. Caterers are not to use this kitchen for food prep/cooking for the marquee reception.
Do we need our own Public Liability Insurance? YES
All bookings at Maleny Retreat must provide your own Public Liability Insurance Cover for the period of your stay at Maleny Retreat, from Friday to Sunday, or the days you book.
This ensures insurance cover for any accidents/injuries that may occur if you are inviting friends and family onto the property to help set up/pack down and to cover any guests that you invite and helps keep the costs down for your wedding at Maleny Retreat.
Weddings that do not provide an adequate Insurance Certificate risk cancellation of the event without reimbursement.
Is there power or do we need to hire a generator?
The marquee site is powered however for weddings that have additional or excessive power needs you may wish to hire a generator.
Are pets allowed? YES
We welcome pets to be a part of the ceremony and photo shoot part of your special day however they must be kept on a lead and accompanied at all times.
For the safety of your pet and our local wildlife all pets are to be taken off the property by the time the Reception part of your days begins. Sorry no pets allowed in the guest house or over night.
What is the venue capacity for ceremony and reception?
Up to 80 guests for DIY Weddings.
100 and above guests — by negotiation and conditions apply.
